MILAN, Nov. 4 (Class Editori) -- The common prosperity hoped for by President Xi Jinping led Ferrari to a record result with a major sales performance especially in the third quarter of the year, which exceeded 2020 and 2019 figures.
Two years ago, the Maranello-based Group sold 159 supercars in Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. On the contrary, this year the company delivered 249 vehicles (+56%) with a double-digit growth in its turnover thanks to the new models, especially Ferrari Roma and SF90 Stradale, particularly loved by Chinese costumers.
"The strong third-quarter results are an important step forward towards the upward revised 2021 guidance. The exceptional client relationships, fundamental in achieving the double-digit growth in this quarter and year to date, are reflected in the record order intake worldwide, particularly in China and in the US," Benedetto Vigna, recently appointed CEO of Ferrari, commented while celebrating his successful debut at the helm.
"These results, together with the soundness of our vision and the team I am honored to lead, make me look to the future with great confidence and optimism," he concluded.
Ferrari recorded great results in all its markets with a total of 2,750 units delivered in the quarter, +18.9% and +11.2% respectively compared to 2020 and 2019, with revenues slightly surpassing one billion euros, +18.6% and +15.1% respectively over 2020 and 2019.
The Group recorded a growth in its 371-million EBITDA, namely around 40% of the turnover and +12.4% and +19.6% compared to 2020 and 2019. However, an interesting data from an administrative point of view is the Group's liquidity, equal to a 242-million free cash flow which largely repaid 189-million worth investments.
As concerns Mainland China, it is important to highlight that, during the three summer months of 2021, sales equaled the figures recorded in the financial years from 2015 to 2018.
