XIAMEN, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese selfie-enhancing internet company Meitu reported on Wednesday that its revenue in the first half (H1) of 2026 had increased by 22.1 percent year on year to 2.21 billion yuan (about 326 million U.S. dollars).
During this period, Meitu recorded an adjusted net profit attributable to the parent company of 650 million yuan, up 39.5 percent year on year.
The company, headquartered in the east China city of Xiamen, said the core photo, video and design products business segment saw revenue reach 1.77 billion yuan in the first half of the year, marking a year-on-year increase of 30.9 percent and accounting for 80 percent of total revenue.
As of the end of June, Meitu's paid subscribers exceeded 18.44 million, setting a new record, with an increase of 19.7 percent from the same period last year.
The company's global monthly active users (MAU) reached 282 million by the end of June, with MAU in markets outside the Chinese mainland steadily maintaining above 100 million.
Founded in October 2008, Meitu is an AI-driven technology company that aims to "beautify" users with its image products and beauty management services.
