Marcolin eyewear to expand in Australia

Abstract : The target is to open a new branch in Sydney. The Australian branch holds a key role for the growth in the APAC region, with the aim of strengthening the commercial cooperation with the regional office, already active in Hong Kong.

MILAN, Oct. 7 (Class Editori) – Marcolin group is expanding its global presence. The eyewear company grows abroad with the opening of a new branch in Sydney. The Australian branch holds a key role for the growth in the APAC region, with the aim of strengthening commercial cooperation with the regional office, already active in Hong Kong.

The new opening confirms the Marcolin's long-term strategy for the development of its own activities in the area, by allowing the company to hold a direct presence in the market, to act as commercial hub for the entire network of independent and local chains and to seize the brands' portfolio distribution. The branch is located in the Northpoint Tower, in the heart of North Sydney. In addition, the building hosts a newly developed showroom, spaces for the commercial section and a new team specialised for the local market.

The commercial organisation is responsible for the sales, after-sales assistance and customer care for Australia and New Zealand. Marcolin group owns a global network, which includes 13 branches worldwide, in Europe (Benelux, DACH, France, Italy, Nordic countries, Portugal, Spain, UK), America (USA, Brazil), Asia (Hong Kong, Singapore) and Australia (Sydney), four joint ventures (China, Mexico, Russia, UAE) and over 150 international distribution partners.

Meanwhile, the eyewear giant has nominated Alessandro Beccarini as new style & product development director. The manager will work on the management and development of all the eyewear collections of the group, among which there are Tom Ford, Longines, Ermenegildo Zegna, Tod's, Emilio Pucci and many other brands.

Under the Beccarini's stylistic guide who, will closely work with the creative direction and the style offices of portfolio brands, the company aims at maximising the creative potential of labels for the eyewear category by, therefore disclosing the target needs and the new market trends.

Born in 1969, Alessandro Beccarini is not unfamiliar with the sector segment in which Marcolin works. Actually, the manager boasts a multi-year expertise as well as Luxottica and Prada. (All rights reserved)
