Freight trains carry imported cargoes with open-top vans in China's major land port

March 27, 2020

Abstract : Freight trains at Manzhouli Port, China's largest land port in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, recently began transporting imported cargoes reloaded with open-top vans to help enterprises reduce logistics costs and cargo damage, reported Chinanews.com.

BEIJING, March 27 (Xinhua) – Freight trains at Manzhouli Port, China's largest land port in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, recently began transporting imported cargoes reloaded with open-top vans to help enterprises reduce logistics costs and cargo damage, reported Chinanews.com.

By far, a total of 5,040 tonnes of imported goods were reloaded by 80 open-top vans at the port, which will be shipped to different places across China.

The open-top structure of the vans can enable the cargoes to be loaded through the crane, which can improve the efficiency of cargo loading and unloading. And such vans are capable of carrying oversized goods, such as glass and large equipment, providing logistics convenience for the enterprise.
