MOSCOW, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- Russian perfume and cosmetics retailer Golden Apple will enter the Chinese market in 2026 with the opening of a store and the launch of online sales in Shanghai, the company has said.
The retailer will occupy an entire building rather than a single unit within a shopping mall, while the ground floors will serve as retail space and the upper floors will house the company's Asian hub, overseeing regional operations.
"Entering China allows Gold Apple to act as a springboard for brands that are willing and ready to explore this market. We observe that Russian products already enjoy popularity in certain segments here, and we are confident that Russian cosmetics manufacturers can compete on equal terms with established brands in China," said Ivan Kuzovlev, co-founder and co-owner of the company.
Founded in 1996, the company is one of Russia's largest omnichannel perfume and cosmetics retailers. It currently operates in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
