BEIJING, March 27 (Xinhua) - Sales revenue of China's integrated circuit (IC) industry surged 15.8 percent year on year to 756.23 billion yuan in 2019, according to latest data released by the China Semiconductor Industry Association (CSIA).
Statistics from the General Administration of Customs (GAC) showed that in 2019, China imported 445.13 billion chips of ICs, up 6.6 percent year on year. The total import value of ICs reached 305.55 billion U.S. dollars, down 2.1 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, China exported 218.7 billion IC chips, up 0.7 percent year on year, and the export value of ICs rose 20 percent year on year to 101.58 billion U.S. dollars.
In 2019, the total sales revenue of the global semiconductor market amounted to 412.1 billion U.S. dollars, down 12.1 percent year on year, according to data from World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS).
