MILAN, March 5 (Class Editori) -- The "fast fashion" system made in Emilia-Romagna is focusing on the Russian market and, despite the concerns related to coronavirus, it has achieved great results at the CPM exhibition - Collection Première Moscow 2020.
CPM is the leading exhibition of the fashion industry in Eastern Europe and, among the successful brands which have debuted in Moscow, the brands of the Bolognese district - Kontatto, Souvenir and Berna - have stood out. On the catwalk of the Fashion Show SS2020 Collections "See now, buy now", they have presented the new Spring/Summer 2020 collections.
The Russian exhibition has also represented an important institutional moment for Centergross. The chairman Piero Scandellari, at the stand organized at the Expocentre Fairground in Moscow has received a visit from Ivan Scalfarotto, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Pasquale Terracciano, Italian Ambassador in Moscow and Francesco Pensabene, Director of ICE Moscow. With them, the importance of the Bolognese fashion district has been discussed, a point of reference at international level which is aiming at progressively focusing on more markets, also thanks to the attendance at the main exhibitions of the sector, such as the Collection Première Moscow.
The exhibition has also been an opportunity to strengthen the relationships with EMI-Ente Moda Italia, an essential body to support the internationalisation of the Italian small and medium-sized enterprises in the fashion field, thanks to the meetings between Chairman Scandellari, Stefano Festa Marzotto and Alberto Scaccioni, respectively EMI Chairman and CEO.
"We are very excited about our participation to this CPM edition, where our brands have been the protagonists, by confirming the value of Centergross", as Scandellari- the district Chairman- has stated, "the institutional meetings have shown the growth of our reality, increasingly crucial in order to support the development of the fashion field, also in a difficult moment for the national and international economy due to the coronavirus emergency. On our side, we are paying great attention to authorities' dispositions concerning the health emergency, however the district activity is regularly continuing".
Centergross is looking at the situation after coronavirus by focusing on the great Asian market because it is still an excellence hub, among the best in Europe to be dedicated to the "ready to wear" sector.
Centergross has been developed on an area of 1 million square metres at the gates of Bologna. Founded in 1977, it groups more than 600 companies and 6,000 workers. The total volume of the business, which makes it one of the leading areas in the Made in Italy fashion field at an international level, is accounting for 5 billion euros per year, with an average attendance of 10,000 buyers per day: 60 percent of them come from foreign markets, particularly Asia, Europe, the USA and Middle-East.
