MILAN, Jan 9 (Class Editori) — The Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), which manages fairs in Rimini and Vicenza, has acquired Montgomery Asia’s three major events in the Food and Beverage (F&B) industry in the Far East through its subsidiary IEG Asia. The events include Speciality Food & Drinks Asia, Speciality Coffee & Tea Asia, and Food2Go. This strategic move strengthens IEG Asia’s commitment to positively contribute to the F&B landscape in Singapore and the ASEAN markets.
The three events will take place at the same time, from June 26 to June 28, 2024, at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore. They will complement the much-anticipated inaugural edition of SIGEP Asia, IEG’s International Exhibition of Artisan Gelato, Pastry, Bakery, Coffee and Tea, which will be held in conjunction with the fifth edition of Restaurant Asia, the International Exhibition of Catering, Cooking and Culinary Equipment and Supplies.
This merger will mark a pivotal moment for the F&B industry, as it will provide a highly specialized and focused event that will fully meet the needs of the sector, both for major industry players and new ventures. The convergence of all aspects of the F&B world will provide a wealth of opportunities to explore the latest trends and innovations, as well as a dynamic platform for networking and collaboration through meetings, conferences, seminars, engaging masterclasses, and demonstrations.
The major event in Singapore will be enhanced by an exclusive hosted buyer program named “Buyer X,” designed to facilitate international interactions, partnerships, and business opportunities. Industry professionals, exhibitors, and visitors will have access to an immersive experience tailored to meet the changing needs of the F&B landscape.
“Since the launch of this event in 2017, our goal has been to bring the best of global gourmet, artisanal, and specialty F&B products to the Singapore and Southeast Asian markets. We are proud to have exactly achieved this objective,” Christopher McCuin, Managing Director of Montgomery Asia, commented.
“This acquisition advances our Group’s position at the international level,” Corrado Peraboni, CEO of IEG, commented. “In recent years, we have strengthened our presence in the organization of B2B events in the sectors where we play a leading role, including excellence in the F&B industry”.
According to Francesco Santa, International Business Development Director of IEG, “the synergy of IEG’s events will undoubtedly set a new standard for boutique trade exhibitions, perfectly aligning with our mission to offer an extraordinary experience to all our stakeholders”.
“In less than a year since it began operations on March 1, 2023, IEG Asia has expanded its event portfolio, particularly in the F&B industry. I am confident that together, these events will set a new standard for boutique trade exhibitions in the Singapore and ASEAN F&B sector, and they are in line with our commitment to providing a unique experience for our stakeholders, exhibiting partners, and visitors,” Ilaria Cicero, CEO of IEG Asia, concluded.
