BEIJING, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Honor, a leading provider of smart devices in China, will accelerate its step entering the European market in 2023, aiming to double its shipment volume in overseas markets by the year, Zhao Ming, CEO of Honor, told China Securities Journal during a recent interview.
According to the market researcher IDC, Honor ranked the third in China's mobile phone market by shipment volume in the fourth quarter of 2022.
In addition to its achievements in domestic market, Honor has accelerated its push into Europe this year. In 2023, Honor has released the Magic5 series and the Magic VS foldable phone during the 2023 Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona, Spain in February.
For Honor, in the European market, the strategy is to compete with the strongest rivals, Apple and Samsung, which requires the company to meet the needs of European consumers and partners in terms of products and innovation, said Zhao.
The company will use the product pricing strategy close to its competitors, with stronger products, solutions, user experience to win the recognition and support of consumers. In overseas markets, Honor sees great room for growth, Zhao added.
