BEIJING, April 27 (Xinhua) -- The coastal and boundary province of Liaoning serves as China's unique land and sea portals facing Northeast Asia, and one of the most convenient transit hubs in this area. In recent years, it has taken a series of concrete measures to optimize business environment strengthening its role in promoting unimpeded trade along the Belt and Road.

It has rolled out special regulations concerning business environment and taken the lead in establishing relevant supervisory organization in China. A special fiscal fund was also set up for comprehensive opening-up, which grants 350 million yuan each year from 2018 to 2022, supporting restructuring, transformation and upgrading of foreign trade, promoting new foreign trade models, as well as improving the quality of service trade.

In 2018, Liaoning established the first provincial-level Belt and Road Comprehensive Pilot Zone in China, proposing the joint construction of Northeast Asia Economic Corridor and actively consolidating the partnership with Japan and the ROK.

Liaoning's GDP reached 2.49 trillion yuan in 2019, and its trade value with the countries and regions along the Belt and Road and those in Central and Eastern Europe increased five percent and ten percent, respectively. (Edited by Li Wenxin with Xinhua Silk Road, liwenxin@xinhua.org)
