BEIJING, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- China recently issued a circular to encourage online vocational skills training so as to improve workers’ professional skills by taking advantage of the Internet, reported Shanghai Securities Journal on Wednesday.
According to the circular co-released by China’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and Ministry of Finance, the goal for 2020 is to choose 50-odd high-quality online professional skills training platforms to train more than one million people through the year with digital training resources covering over 100 occupations (types of work).
The goal for 2021 is to further complete the management service mechanism for online vocational skills training to expand the scale and improve the quality of online training with rich online training resources, integrated online and offline services, strong policy support and orderly supervision.
It also proposed to grant training subsidies to firms affected by the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak and qualified trainees, as well as living expenses subsidies to the poor participating online skills training. (Edited by Gu Shanshan, gushanshan.1987@163.com)
