BEIJING, Feb. 29 (Xinhua) -- More than 70 percent companies in north China's Tianjin Municipality have recently seen electricity consumption basically recover to the production level before the Spring Festival holiday, according to State Grid Tianjin Electric Power Company.

Electric data from the company shows that within two days after the end of the Spring Festival holiday, which started on Feb. 9, the electricity consumption of more than 6,000 enterprises in Tianjin rapidly recovered to over 90 percent of the average level before the holiday, with that of multiple industry leading enterprises such as Bridgestone and Great Wall Motor all surpassing the pre-holiday level.

The daily electricity consumption of enterprises in Tianjin during the Spring Festival holiday was generally higher than the same period last year, and quickly rebounded in two days after the holiday, said Xiang Tianchun, deputy director of the digitalization department with State Grid Tianjin Electric Power Company.

According to the company's electric data, as of February 19, the second day after the Spring Festival holiday, the electricity consumption of the secondary and tertiary industries in Tianjin had recovered respectively to 89.19 percent and 88.40 percent of the pre-holiday levels, rising by 8.27 percent and 6.78 percent from the same period last year.

To fully serve the high-quality economic development of Tianjin, State Grid Tianjin Electric Power Company launched ten measures in January this year to further improve the power supply services.

In response to the growth of the electricity load after the holiday, the company has also provided special assistance to livelihood industries such as medical services, food and agriculture and key industrial enterprises in Tianjin.
