BEIJING, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Recently, a group of over 20 teachers and students from University of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, came to Yishui County of Linyi City in east China's Shandong Province to spend a two-day Chinese culture summer camp launched by Shandong Normal University.

After visiting local scenic spots, the teachers and students went to a tea garden and experienced the whole process of tea making, including picking, frying, tasting, and etc.

Foreign teachers and students expressed that the activities are very memorable, so that they can better understand the Chinese tea culture, and enhance all-round feel of unique charm of hand-made in Yishui County.

It is learned that the College of International Education, Shandong Normal University has signed a cooperation framework agreement with a local tea enterprise in Yishui County, and co-built practical teaching bases recently.

Since signing of the agreement last August, the enterprise has provided foreigners who study in China a window to understand Chinese tea culture and enjoy beautiful rural views, said Ma Maoxiang, dean of the College of International Education of Shandong Normal University, adding that the joint construction of practical teaching bases is a new chapter in the field of university-enterprise cooperation and in serving rural revitalization.

In recent years, Yishui County attaches importance to carry forward traditional China culture, and grasps the opportunity of international communication to promote Qilu culture and Shandong's beautiful tourism resources to overseas.

In the next step, Yishui County will explore broader cultural, talent, scientific and technological exchange projects, strengthen external communication, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
