BEIJING, July 20 (Xinhua) -- A number of smart home and digital products made by Chinese companies won favor of Brazilian consumers during the Latin American Electronics International Trade Show (Electrolar Show 2023) held in Sao Paulo from July 10 to 13, reported people.cn.

These products embody not only the prowess of China's intelligent manufacturing, but also Chinese companies' commitment to promoting green and sustainable development in Brazil.

In addition to providing tech-savvy products, Chinese enterprises also help enhance Brazil's intelligent manufacturing capability by improving localized smart production, sharing advanced technologies and management expertise with local manufacturers, hiring Brazilian residents and providing training for them.

-- Shinning smart products

During the Electrolar Show 2023, many Chinese companies including TCL, Gree, and Baseus unveiled their latest smart home and digital products, sparking Brazilian consumers' interest.

Many visitors were attracted to enjoy an immersive experience brought by the large-screen Mini Led smart TV of Chinese electronics giant TCL in the booth of SEMP TCL, a joint venture established by TCL and the time-honored Brazilian home appliance manufacturer SEMP in 2016.

The smart TV acts not only as a family entertainment terminal, but also a hub connecting various smart home appliances like air conditioners, audio equipment, refrigerators, and washing machines through artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

Chen Lei, marketing director of SEMP TCL, noted that TCL has been collaborating with many local media groups since early days of its entry into the Brazilian market. Many applications are thus embedded in TCL's TVs for easy user access.

Gree Brazil, the Brazilian branch of Chinese home appliance heavyweight Gree, brought its G-Diamond TOP series inverter air conditioners to the trade show. The products featuring intelligent temperature adjustment and human-machine interaction use double coating to improve the anti-corrosion capability required in Brazil's coastal areas.

Baseus, a Chinese electronic accessories brand, displayed several high-power gallium nitride (GaN) chargers. Xu Dapeng, head of Baseus Brazil, said that high-power GaN chargers, for enabling fast charging, are well-received by Brazilian consumers.

Brazilian exhibitor Gregorio Furtado, who is a loyal user of Baseus, chose to sell Chinese-made digital products when starting his own business. He justified that China-made digital products are durable and reliable. They sell well in the Brazilian market and receive positive customer reviews.

Products launched by Chinese exhibitors are innovative with world-leading technologies, said Carlos Clur, chairman of the Eletrolar Group in Brazil, adding that he expected Brazilian and Chinese enterprises to deepen cooperation through the Electrolar Show and promote the development of Brazil's electronics industry.

-- Fueling Brazil's green economy development

While bringing high-tech products to Brazil, Chinese enterprises also embed green and sustainable development concepts into their offerings, thus contributing to the growth of Brazil's green economy.

Domingos, product and engineering quality director of SEMP TCL, stated that the company's refrigerators and air conditioners showcased at this year's exhibition were eco-friendly with much lower carbon emissions than their previous models. By rolling out the products, TCL aims to improve Brazilian people's life and play its due role in protecting the environment.

Having entered the Brazilian market last year, China's leading TV manufacturer Konka made its debut at the Electrolar Show 2023. The company brought to the event a range of energy-efficient white goods, like refrigerators, freezers, washing machines and coffee machines. According to Liao Zhike, general manager of Konka's overseas marketing center, strict environmental protection standards were applied in the making of these exhibits.

Pisen, a leading supplier of outdoor charging facilities in China, displayed outdoor energy storage systems, which highlight fast charging and connection to solar panels for power storage, winning favor in the Brazilian market.

Zhang Ruisheng, manager of Pisen's foreign trade department, noted that the company has begun providing charging services for agricultural drones in Brazil and offered comprehensive solutions of photovoltaic modules and batteries for energy storage to fuel the development of low-carbon agriculture in the country.

Many environmentally friendly products from Brazilian brands are also made in China. HANDZ, a Brazilian vendor of digital products and accessories, announced that its exhibits including wireless chargers, headphones and speakers were manufactured with recycled or sustainable materials in its production base in China.

China has seen rapid development of eco-friendly materials and the prospect of using such materials is promising, said HANDZ's founder Rodrigo Andre.

Jorge Nascimento, CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers of Electrical and Electronic Products (Eletros) in Brazil, noted that reducing energy consumption not only saves money for Brazilian consumers, but also helps protect the environment. Hence, both consumers and the government welcome environmentally friendly products.

He moved on to mention that Chinese-made products are eco-friendly through technological innovation, giving them stronger competitiveness in the Brazilian market.

-- Empowering local smart manufacturing

Behind the popularity of Chinese products in Brazil is Chinese companies' devotion to localized intelligent production and R&D.

In Gree's factory in Manaus, the capital of the Brazilian state of Amazonas, intelligent equipment independently designed by the Chinese enterprise can be found everywhere.

Pointing to a press brake, production manager of the factory said the machine adopts advanced automation technology and intelligent control systems. It is operated with the help of robots to precisely control the processing procedure, thus can increase productivity and product quality.

Meanwhile, Chinese enterprises share advanced technologies and management expertise with local manufacturing companies.

Felipe Hennel Fay, vice president of SEMP TCL, said that thanks to management experience learned from TCL, the joint venture could reinforce its manufacturing capabilities and provide more reliable products to the market.

Hiring Brazilian people and providing them with training is also an important part of efforts by Chinese companies to boost local technological development and industrial intelligence upgrading.

Over 70 percent of the total 800-odd workers at the factory of Chinese computer giant Lenovo in Indaiatuba, São Paulo state are local residents, said the head of the factory.

Lenovo often hosts training lessons on smart manufacturing according to employees' needs to help them sharpen intelligent manufacturing skills, said Julio, who has joined Lenovo for 10 years, adding that he would recommend Chinese companies to his family and friends when they seek jobs.
