InfoQuest (June 30, 2022) - According to Ms. Siripen Kiatfuengfoo, Deputy Director of Thailand's Office of Industrial Economics (OIE), Thailand's manufacturing production index (MPI) was 98.05 in May, down 2.11 percent from the same period last year, and grew by an average of 0.57 percent in the first five months of the year.
Its capacity utilization rate (CapU) was 62.42 percent in May, up from 58.54 percent in April, and averaged 64.11 percent in the first five months of this year.
In May, the producer price index (PPI) grew by 11.8 percent and the Thai baht fell 2.63 percent.
