Abstract : Acting Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Artem Novikov said on Tuesday that his country will fully cooperate with China to implement a new plan on cargo passing through Kyrgyzsstan-China passes and jointly improve the cargo traffic capacity.

BISHKEK, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Acting Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Artem Novikov said on Tuesday that his country will fully cooperate with China to implement a new plan on cargo passing through Kyrgyzsstan-China passes and jointly improve the cargo traffic capacity.

Novikov highly praised the development of Kyrgyz-China relations when meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen, the Chinese embassy told Xinhua on Wednesday in a press release.

Novikov thanked the Chinese government for its efforts to improve the conditions of cargo transportation at the Kyrgyzstan-China passes and the great support and assistance China has provided to Kyrgyzstan over the years to improve people's livelihood, develop the economy and fight against the epidemic.

Novikov said Kyrgyzstan is ready to continually push forward the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership.

Du said that China and Kyrgyzstan are friendly neighbors and comprehensive strategic partners. She noted that the two countries have supported each other in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic, and the cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative has yielded fruitful results.

"China is ready to further deepen pragmatic cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in various fields for the benefit of the two peoples," said Du.

Du informed the Kyrgyz side of China's proposals on improving the cargo handling capacity at the passes of Irkeshtan and Turgat, including extending the opening time of the ports, building new infrastructure and increasing the efficiency of trucks in customs clearance.

Du also hoped that the two sides will make joint efforts to create favorable conditions for the development of bilateral economic and trade relations. Enditem
