BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Sichuan Province in southwest China on Tuesday released 416 modern service projects at a summit on the development of the modern service industry in the province, and the total investment demand for these projects is nearly 1.48 trillion yuan, reported Sichuan Daily Wednesday.
The projects involve four pillar service industries, namely commerce and trade, modern logistics, financial services as well as culture, sports and tourism, and six developing service industries, namely science and technology information services, business conference and exhibition services, human resources services, Sichuan-style catering services, medical and health services, and family community services.
Among these projects, 355 ones involve the four pillar service industries and the total investment demand is 1.18 trillion yuan. Projects involving culture, sports and tourism are the most, with the number registering 204.
A total of 183 of these projects were contracted at the summit with the investment totaling 247.782 billion yuan.
Of the contracted projects, those involving the four pillar service industries recorded 105 with investment demand reaching 162.1 billion yuan, while those involving the six developing service industries registered 26 with investment demand approaching to 34.5 billion yuan.
The Sichuan-Hong Kong Cooperation Demonstration Park project in the Meishan District of Tianfu New Area in Chengdu, capital city of Sichuan, poses the largest investment demand which is up to 96.6 billion yuan. (Edited by Gu Shanshan with Xinhua Silk Road, gushanshan.1987@163.com)
