HAIKOU, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Jiangdong New Area is in the eastern core area of Haikou, capital of south China’s Hainan Province, and also the core of the eastern wing of Haikou-Chengmai-Wenchang integration area.
Jiangdong New Area starts from Dongzhai Port in the east, reaches Nandu River in the west, borders Haikou's east coast line in the north, and stretches to the city's ring expressway and 212 provincial road in the south, with a planned area of 298 square kilometers.
Positioned in excellent location and brimmed with great opportunities, there is surging vitality in Jiangdong New Area. From a drone's view, the crisscrossed road network is gradually taking shape; the airport industrial park under construction is about to shape up; and Jiangdong is constantly changing with each passing day.

Up until now, Jiangdong New Area has launched 41 projects with a total investment of 30.715 billion yuan. About 6.3 billion yuan of investment has been fulfilled in 2019. Of the 41 projects, 29 are infrastructure projects with a total investment of 23.203 billion yuan; two are ecological restoration projects with an investment of 912 million yuan; ten are industrial projects with an investment of 6.6 billion yuan.
