BEIJING, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Located on the eastern coast of China, Jiangsu province is one of the leading provinces in many industries of China. Positioned as the intersection of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Jiangsu is on track to achieve province-wide overall coordination and openness.
The per capita GDP of Jiangsu exceeded 120,000 yuan in 2019. Its total foreign trade remained basically stable in 2019, with exports increasing by 2.1 percent year on year.
The province also saw booming new forms of business. The size of the burgeoning digital economy reached 4 trillion yuan. The operating income of business services, software and information technology services, and internet and related services increased 9.4 percent, 18.8 percent and 23.4 percent, respectively, in 2019.
The province has accelerated the construction of the China-Kazakhstan logistics cooperation base, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization international logistics park and the Huaihai international land port to further promote opening up.
