BEIJING, March 26 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Water Resources on Wednesday unveiled a work plan for 2020, pledging to finish acceptance checks of about 10 major water conservancy projects this year.
The ministry will accelerate the implementation of major water conservancy projects and continuously improve construction quality.
It will enhance its guidance and coordination on key projects such as Dateng Gorge water conservancy project, water diversion project from Yangtze River to Huaihe River and water diversion project in central Yunnan Province, and ensure that Dateng Gorge project will achieve the goal of water storage and navigation.
Moreover, the ministry will reinforce quality supervision on water conservancy projects and promote supervision informatization and modernization.
The ministry also plans to comprehensively strengthen weak links in water conservancy construction and improve water conservancy construction regulations and technical standards. (Edited by Zhang Yuan with Xinhua Silk Road, zhangyuan11@xinhua.org)
