QINGDAO, March 10 (Xinhua) -- The second Global Health Forum (GHF) of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) will not be affected by the ongoing epidemic outbreak and is still scheduled to be held from June 15 to 17 in the coastal city of Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province, the municipal publicity department said on Monday.
It said discussion of the novel coronavirus will be a significant part and the forum will set up virus-related topics, including lessons learned from the epidemic outbreak, infection prevention and control of medical workers, drug research and development and international cooperation.
Qingdao has also rolled out emergency plans to prevent and control the epidemic. The government has ensured adequate storage of masks, disinfectant and other anti-epidemic materials and also rolled out plans to check the health conditions of guests, guarantee food safety and deal with emergencies.
Launched by the BFA, the first GHF was held in June 2019 in Qingdao, with about 2,600 delegates from 55 countries and regions attending the forum.
