BEIJING, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Listed companies are gradually resuming work in Beijing, capital of China, amid the ongoing novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic. As of Thursday, 348 of the city's 350 listed companies have resumed work, according to the Listed Companies Association of Beijing.
Among the 348 companies, 135 have completely resumed work and 213 have resumed part of their business. Only two listed companies in Beijing failed to restart business due to some specific reasons.
While restoring work, those companies have actively made contributions to the epidemic prevention and control. For instance, some listed companies have donated funds to the efforts in fighting the coronavirus, and China Aluminum International Engineering Corporation Limited(CHALIECO) has developed new infrared thermometers to help resumed enterprises measure employees’ temperature every day, the Listed Companies Association said.
