BEIJING, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) - The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on Monday approved the implementation plan of the Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport phase III expansion project in northwest China's Gansu Province, reported the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News quoting NDRC.
The project, with a total investment of 33.55 billion yuan, is expected to fulfill the target of 38 million passengers throughput and 300,000 tonnes of cargo and mail throughput by 2030.
According to the top economic planner in China, this project will be conducive to building Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu, into a regional aviation hub at a faster speed, improving regional comprehensive transport system and pushing up local economic and social development.
