NEW YORK, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Chinese delicates brand Threegun on Wednesday debuted its spring/summer 2020 collection at the ongoing New York Fashion Week (NYFW).
It is the first time that the brand has showcased its collection at the NYFW.
The collection, centering on the theme "Cai (means tailor)" features comfortable close-fitting fabric, modern design and cutting.
Mark Qu (Qu Chuang), designer of the collection, drew his inspiration from classical designs and techniques of Threegun, whose history dates back to 1937. "Some of the designs and techniques which appeared decades ago are still fashionable today," he said.
The theme "Cai" not only means tailor, but also means pattern and tradeoff, according to the talented designer. "I hope the delicates of Threegun would help people create better images, and the collection would be suitable for people of all colors."
Wang Weimin, board chairman of Shanghai Dragon Corp. that owns the delicates brand, told Xinhua on Wednesday that Threegun is winning an increasing number of consumers in U.S. market, with the sales growing at a pace of 50 percent to 60 percent on a yearly basis.
"We will definitely attach great significance to such a burgeoning market, with the design, production and promotion well targeted on local consumers," he said with excitement. "I still feel thrilled after seeing our brand made its debut at NYFW."
Threegun is China's leading delicates brand with a history of 82 years. Besides underwear, it has extended its product categories to loungewear, sweaters and outdoor products.
