BEIJING, July 31 (Xinhua) -- East China's Jiangsu Province has invested more than 270 billion yuan in its 220 projects in process in the first half of 2019, which accounts for 50.7 percent of the province's annual investment plan.
Specifically, 130 major industrial projects completed an investment of 93.2 billion yuan in the first half of the year, marking a measurable progress over the previous year.
Since the beginning of this year, authorities in Jiangsu have been improving the local business environment in a bid to attract more quality investment.
The province this year plans to launch 109 major projects, of which, 74 projects were launched from January to June. The operating rate thus stood at 68 percent, which was 8 percent higher than a year ago and best record in history. (Edited by Bao Nuomin, baonuomin@xinhua.org)
