MILAN, Jun 19 (Class Editori) -- About seventy Italian manufacturing companies have been selected by Sinopec for the presentation meeting of the Epec platform. A technical workshop was scheduled in Milan on June, 20 by the hydrocarbon giant and the Italian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, with the support of Confindustria, Assolombarda, Italy China Foundation and Ccpit. The meeting, hosted by DLA Piper, will give companies the possibility to learn about the Epec platform and the opportunities for the supply chain in China and in international markets.
The procurement system at the center of the meeting is mainly designed for Sinopec. Anyway, about a third of the goods on the online marketplace that actually facilitates transactions of industrial products from the supply chain to the customer is linked to products other than the traditional ones in the world of oil & gas. The Chinese group, which was founded in 1998 and today is ranked third in the Fortune Global 500 ranking of the most important companies in the world, reached a net profit of 61.6 billion yuan in 2018. In addition to energy and mechanics, other reference sectors which stand out are chemical products, small household appliances and cosmetics.
