InfoQuest (March 24, 2019) -- Mr. Uttam Saowanan, leader of the Palang Pracharath Party, said that he is ready to become the leader of a new government and he will be devoted to promoting the development of Thailand. Although most ballots have been counted, the election is ongoing. What his party should do now is to take it easy, and decide how to proceed after the exact final outcome is announced.
However, the Palang Pracharath Party will make every effort to receive the votes of 250 Senate members. He also admitted that he has extended his congratulations to a certain party on the phone. But he did not want to disclose the name of the "winner", Bhumjaithai Party or other parties, until the announcement of the final result by the Election Commission.
"As for the formation of a new government, we will continue the process by following the principle I mentioned above. We are ready to promote the advancement of Thailand. This is our people's expectation for the new government," said Mr. Uttam.
Mr.Uttam also had the opportunity to have a chat with General Prayuth Chan-ocha, prime minister of Thailand. After being informed of above situation, General Prayuth Chan-ocha expressed his congratulations to the party and extended his thanks to all members for their joint efforts.
