InfoQuest (March 22) -- Ms. Sudarat Keuraphan, Chairman of the Pheu Thai Party Election Strategy, helped canvass in the Seri Village for Mr. Wap Kongtharanin, the candidate for Saphan Sung-Prawet District (Prawet Division), and then left by car for parade along the main road in order to get the final votes in various communities.
As for the words given by leader of Palang Pracharath Mr. Uttam Sawangnai that the party with the most votes would have the right to establish a joint government, Ms. Sudarat said that Palang Pracharat did not think it will get the most votes, so it tried to make the rules and civilization different from the past. In the past there was a good political culture, i.e. the party that won the most votes would serve as the leader to establish a new government, if it could not do so, other competitors would continue to compete, which was the rule that has always been followed.
"The behaviors of relevant political parties that Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha has been criticizing are all reflected today in Palang Pracharath, such as the affectation of populism policy and waste of a lot of money. Today, Palang Pracharath spends a lot of money but has no wisdom to make money. It also introduces the policy that is just a concept without implementation and is doomed to fail. On the contrary, Pheu Thai Party will not play the game of sharing money, but will invest to create new assets and new income. Today, Palang Pracharath ignores the rules and shows its true colors just in order to come to power again," Ms. Sudarat said.
Ms. Sudarat believed that after the election, temporary betrayal and political lobbying in the name of "smarming up to those in power" will occur to force people to join Palang Pracharath, and individual members will be bribed to support Prime Minister Prayut to regain power, regardless of whether it is illegal, immoral, and unconventional.
However, Ms. Sudarat firmly believed that today the people will vote overwhelmingly to clearly show their voice. Therefore, if any politician or any political party leader does anything regardless of the public voice, the people will not accept it and will teach him/her a lesson.
"This time, only the people's power can change Thailand, confront the strong and attack all illegal, anti-civilized and immoral behaviors for gaining the power," said Ms. Sudarat.
Ms. Sudarat made requests to the Election Commission on important matters, such as the purchasing of votes, which has happened in Bangkok and other provinces. She also accused the Commission of not investigating the matter seriously. The Election Commission's ignoring of the behaviors of taking use of state power to threaten and intimidate the supporters and officials of the rival parties, the election fraud, and dereliction of duty at the polling booth, not only negatively affected the people’s voting, but also caused them to lose rights. Therefore, before the election, the Election Commission was requested to take actions to avoid recurrence of above issues.
Ms. Sudarat reiterated that the people should vote overwhelmingly for Pheu Thai Party to prevent the 250-member senator group from remaining in power, because Pheu Thai Party is capable of fighting against the 250-member senator group.
