InfoQuest (March 20, 2019) -- General Prayut Chan-o-cha, prime minster of Thailand and head of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) responded to issues concerning the general election. He noted that there is no need to prepare anything. "I only ask my families to participate in this election. I have been the prime minister for five years. Why would I need any preparation?" he said. Then the journalist continued to ask what he would do if he failed in the election. The prime minister responded by saying, "How can you ask such question? What can such question benefit the country and the people? The question shows you haven't yet get rid of the previous political model."

The prime minister visited the Lumpini Park this morning. Before that, he ordered to improve the park. "The park was greatly improved this time, but more green areas and parking lots are still needed," said the prime minister.

The prime minister greeted the citizens who were exercising in the park during his visit. And foreigners took photos with him and cheered him to show their support.

People asked to take photos with him and offered him red roses to show their support. The prime minister also sang birthday song with the people and officials there to celebrate his 63 birthday. He said he is happy to celebrate his birthday with everyone here since he has never had a birthday party but just celebrated it with families.

"I'm just like the person who picks up the litters thrown by you. Many throw the litters, but few pick them up. Today, Thais need to help rule their own country and safeguard the country's safety," said Prime Minister Prayut.

The prime minister said he doesn't want to enforce too many laws, for they will depress and irritate people and cause conflicts. And no one is allowed to cause hatred in Thailand. Anyone who does so will be deemed as a person who jeopardizes the country. He also made it clear that he doesn't want to continue staying in power as in the last five years.

It was disclosed that Commander of 1st Division of Royal Thai Army issued a confidential document to order the army to use intelligence or Information Operation(IO)to support the party Prachatharathana. General Prayut said he hasn't seen the document yet. Although an investigation will be conducted, it is impossible that there is such document.
