According to Lieutenant General Virachon Sukonthapatiphat, deputy spokesman of the prime minister office, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, prime minister of Thailand, received the report on several explosions in Changwat Satun, Amphoe Mueang Phatthalung last night. He showed concerns about the life and security of all soldiers and people, though no casualty is caused.
But the prime minister hope the public will not get panic for this, because security staff can control relevant areas and conduct surveillance over the insurgents. Their efforts include closer cooperation among the police, army and security forces, strict surveillance, inspection and other security measures, in a bid to maintain social stability, ensure people's safety and arrest insurgents as soon as possible.
"For the real cause of the explosions, local security forces are gathering evidence and information. But it is quite possible that some opponents intentionally caused the disturbances before Thai general election 2019," according to the spokesman.
