BEIJING, March 15 (Xinhua) -- The Sino-German auto joint venture FAW-Volkswagen Automotive announced recently that the sales of its passenger cars including imported Audi cars stood at 118,100 units, ranking the first among passenger car enterprises by sales in China.
Under the Volkswagen brand series, passenger car sales of Bora reached at 15,400 units in February, with highest year-on-year growth of 5.7 percent among other models of Volkswagen.
T-ROC, the first SUV model launched by FAW-Volkswagen, saw its brand new cars sales hit 5,624 units in February.
Meanwhile, the sales of the FAW-Volkswagen's domestic Audi cars in February jumped 1.3 percent year on year to 36,700 units.
To be specific, Audi had made gains from the sales of its compact models. In February, the company handed over 4,831 units of Audi Q3, with a year-on-year growth of 23.6 percent, while the sales of Audi A3 surged 13.4 percent to 5,396 units.
Apart from domestic Audi cars, sales of the imported model of Audi cars amounted to 3,342 units in February, with an increase of 9.9 percent year on year. (Edited by Jiang Feifan)
