BEIJING, Jun.4 (Xinhua) -- Tianjin smart vehicle research companies have conducted a road test of self-driving vehicles on the Tianjin section of Tangshan-Langfang highway, according to source with Tianjin Municipal Transportation Commission.
Tianjin Expressway, together with Tianjin Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry Research Institute and Tsintel Technology recently carried out a virtual automated driving test on the not-yet-open Tangshan-Langfang highway, achieving good test result and an automatic driving speed of 80km per hour.
Tianjin will further advance research on self-driving innovation and technological standard establishment to accelerate technology development and application for more convenient and efficient transportation, according to Tianjin Municipal Transportation Commission.
