China imported 1,328.9 tons of vodka from January to March 2018, an increase of 20.8 percent year on year. The imports amounted to 3.7 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 25.3 percent year on year. The average price was 2,770.3 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 3.7 percent year on year.
In March alone, China imported 318.7 tons of vodka, a decrease of 14.9 percent month on month. The imports amounted to 812,432 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 26.7 percent month on month. The average price was 2,549.5 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 13.9 percent month on month. Compared with March 2017, there was an increase of 0.3 percent in quantity, a decrease of 8.3 percent in value, and a decrease of 8.5 percent in average price.
In terms of import origin by continents, Asia exported 2.6 tons of vodka from January to March 2018, an increase of 26.3 percent year on year, or 9,162 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 13.3 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,555.3 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 31.4 percent year on year; Europe exported 1,098.5 tons, an increase of 22.7 percent year on year, or 3.3 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 26.3 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,008.6 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 2.9 percent year on year; South America exported 12 kilograms, or 20 U.S. dollars, at an average price of 1,666.7 U.S. dollars per ton; North America exported 227.8 tons, an increase of 12.7 percent year on year, or 367,339 U.S. dollars, an increase of 23.0 percent year on year, at an average price of 1,612.3 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 9.2 percent year on year.
In March alone, Asia exported 840 kilograms of vodka, a decrease of 58.8 percent year on year, or 2,528 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 76.1 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,009.5 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 41.9 percent year on year; Europe exported 176.1 tons, a decrease of 28.2 percent year on year, or 587,213 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 22.0 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,333.7 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 8.7 percent year on year; North America exported 141.7 tons, an increase of 102.9 percent year on year, or 222,691 U.S. dollars, an increase of 94.4 percent year on year, at an average price of 1,571.8 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 4.2 percent year on year.
Among all the countries and regions that exported vodka to China from January to March 2018, in terms of value, Sweden ranked first with 1.3 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 66.3 percent year on year; the Russian Federation ranked second with 515,234 U.S. dollars, an increase of 105.1 percent year on year; France ranked third with 472,403 U.S. dollars, an increase of 86.5 percent year on year.
In March alone, the Russian Federation ranked first with 255,015 U.S. dollars, an increase of 94.5 percent year on year; the United States ranked second with 222,691 U.S. dollars, an increase of 113.4 percent year on year; Sweden ranked third with 112,427 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 30.9 percent year on year.
