China exported 12,755.0 tons of duck meat and its products from January to March 2018, an increase of 6.6 percent year on year. The exports amounted to 37.7 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 1.2 percent year on year. The average price was 2,958.8 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 5.1 percent year on year.
In March alone, China exported 5,008.3 tons of duck meat and its products, an increase of 34.9 percent month on month. The exports amounted to 14.0 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 27.6 percent month on month. The average price was 2,800.2 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 5.4 percent month on month. Compared with March 2017, there was an increase of 2.5 percent in quantity, a decrease of 3.4 percent in value, and a decrease of 5.7 percent in average price.
In terms of export destination by continents, Asia imported 9,482.8 tons of duck meat and its products from January to March 2018, an increase of 10.9 percent year on year, or 26.4 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 6.3 percent year on year, at an average price of 2,788.5 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 4.1 percent year on year; Africa imported 72.3 tons, or 156,643 U.S. dollars, at an average price of 2,166.2 U.S. dollars per ton; Europe imported 3,162.7 tons, a decrease of 6.5 percent year on year, or 11.0 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 10.7 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,467.0 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 4.5 percent year on year; North America imported 31.7 tons, an increase of 408.5 percent year on year, or 145,307 U.S. dollars, an increase of 307.4 percent year on year, at an average price of 4,579.5 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 19.9 percent year on year; Oceania imported 5.4 tons, a decrease of 70.1 percent year on year, or 29,869 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 69.1 percent year on year, at an average price of 5,525.2 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 3.4 percent year on year.
In March alone, Asia imported 3,951.9 tons of duck meat and its products, an increase of 18.6 percent year on year, or 10.1 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 8.6 percent year on year, at an average price of 2,544.4 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 8.5 percent year on year; Africa imported 22.9 tons, or 45,969 U.S. dollars, at an average price of 2,008.6 U.S. dollars per ton; Europe imported 1,024.4 tons, a decrease of 33.9 percent year on year, or 3.9 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 25.7 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,785.8 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 12.3 percent year on year; North America imported 9.1 tons, or 44,872 U.S. dollars, at an average price of 4,920.2 U.S. dollars per ton.
Among all the countries and regions that imported duck meat and its products from China from January to March 2018, in terms of value, Hong Kong ranked first with 12.8 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 1.8 percent year on year; Japan ranked second with 6.2 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 2.5 percent year on year; the United Kingdom ranked third with 3.7 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 16.1 percent year on year.
In March alone, Hong Kong ranked first with 4.6 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 10.0 percent year on year; Japan ranked second with 2.1 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 22.3 percent year on year; the Republic of Korea ranked third with 1.3 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 11.3 percent year on year.
