CHENGDU, Mar. 27 (Xinhua) -- The bottle design from Wuliangye Yibin Co., Monday came to the fore of over 300 competitors and was awarded the Gold Prize in the 2018 China Alcoholic Product Package Design Competition & Best Alcoholic Bottle Design Competition.
The competitions took place at Luzhou International Conference and Exhibition Center in southwest China’s Sichuan Province on March 25.
Meanwhile, the bottle design by the Luzhou Laojiao Co. won the Best Modeling Prize in the competition.
Hai Zhenming, director of the exhibition department of China Alcoholic Drinks Association (CADA), noted that only works with both pictures and real bottles can enter the competition. More than 300 entries include ceramic bottles, glass bottles, functional bottles and design models, most of which are from alcoholic manufacturers, alcoholic bottle design institutions and free creative designers across the country, as well as foreign professional institutions.
“Creative design should embody the concept of innovation and green development,” said Zhang Linghao, vice chairman of the review committee, adding that experts has made evaluation from the aspects of creativity, topicality, aesthetics, utility and material safety.
"The bottle, which is the carrier of good wine, decides consumers' first impression on alcoholic products. People always associate novel, elegant and useful bottles with the fragrance of good wine," said Song Shuyu, vice chairman and secretary-general of CADA.
He said that the competition is aimed at delivering advanced concept through the simplest bottle design and guiding the whole industry towards green and low-cost packaging.
Through the participation of all walks of life, the goal of the competition is to build a talent display platform for alcoholic design enthusiasts and a competition platform for professional talents, and present the most advanced and fashionable design concept to the society and consumers.
