BEIJING, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Among the bids submitted in the tender for the Las Palmas Reservoir project in the Valparaíso Region of Chile, the best offer corresponded to China Harbor Engineering (CHEC), said a report from www.bhi.com.cn.
CHEC has been awarded the contract with an investment estimate of 11.5 million U.S. dollars for the construction and 4.3 million dollars for the operation. The project will start construction in 2020 with a fixed concession period of 228 months.
The project is aimed to improve irrigation condition of the middle and lower reaches of the Petorca Valley, covering an area of about 28.59 square kilometers.
