HEFEI, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- The 5th China International Cartoon Creative Industry Fair was wrapped up at Wuhu in east China’s Anhui Province on December 3. Multiple signs show that China’s animation enterprises have not only met the needs of domestic viewers, but also acquired a rare opportunity for international cooperation under the Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative.

Xu Ming, head of Shenzhen-based Pure Arts, introduced that while further developing the domestic market, the company is intensifying cooperation with countries along the B&R, such as Vietnam and the Philippines.

Xu added that after years of development, China has reserved abundant technological talents in animation industry. Many countries along the B&R are in demand for such talents.

Guo Xiafang, president of the Hong Kong Animation & Comic Association (HKACA), noted that HKACA has planned to host exhibitions in countries along the B&R, including Thailand and Malaysia, in a bid to promote high-quality animation works in these countries.

“The B&R Initiative has created a good opportunity for China's animation industry. In some countries along the B&R, the industry has just started, while demands for animation works are robust. In contrast, China has accumulated some technologies and talents in this regard," said Guo.

Under the B&R Initiative, China's animation industry is quickening its pace to go global. China has exported over 250,000 minutes of animation works represented by Boonie Bears to more than 100 countries and regions including the U.S., Italy, Russia and Singapore.
