Abstract : U.S. conglomerate General Electric (GE) announced that it will establish its first overseas smart manufacturing technology center in North China's Tianjin Municipality.
U.S. conglomerate General Electric (GE) announced that it will establish its first overseas smart manufacturing technology center in North China's Tianjin Municipality.
It chose the city because Tianjin is a major production base for GE's medical equipment as well as its hydroelectric projects, the company said in an e-mail sent to the Global Times on Thursday.
The center will focus on automation, smart processing and assembly, 3D printing and digital modeling.
