Recently, a consortium established by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Corp., Ltd. (CSCEC 3rd Bureau) and China State Construction Engrg. Corp. (Middle East) (L.L.C) (CSCEC Middle East) has signed the contract for the phase I project of Hassyan Clean Coal Power Plant in Dubai, with the contract value at 1.4 billion yuan, an equivalent of about 201.4 million US dollars.
Hassyan Clean Coal Power Plant is a key project in the energy strategic plan of the Dubai government and the first coal power plant in the Middle East. The phase I project consists of four sets of generating units with the capacity of 600MW for each of them. The first set is expected to put in commercial use in March 2020.
