BEIJING, Dec.17 (Xinhua) -- China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) on Wednesday unveiled model terms and guidelines for health insurance products that are included in a tax credit scheme on a trial basis, according to a circular published on CIRC website.
Late last week, China announced that it would launch the pilot program that encourages the public to purchase heath insurance by offering tax credits in 31 Chinese cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, and Chongqing.
Starting from January 1, 2016, buyers of commercial health insurance policies in those cities will be allowed to have no more than 2,400 yuan of premium payments deducted from taxable income each year. (Edited by Ding Lei, dinglei@xinhua.org) (Edited by Ding Lei, dinglei@xinhua.org)
