On July 6, China Siyuan Foundation for Poverty Alleviation celebrated its 10th anniversary by holding an award ceremony in Beijing.
The ceremony was aimed at honoring the programs, organizations and individuals that made great efforts and contributions to poverty alleviation in China over the last 10 years.
Tongwei Group Board of Directors Chairman Liu Hanyuan joined in the celebrations and was honored with the China Siyuan Charity Award.
Tongwei Group donated RMB 50 million to the Foundation right at the beginning of its establishment and launched the Siyuan Sunshine Program, which has been supplying high-quality, efficient and green solar energy for industrial and domestic use to the economically underdeveloped areas, particularly mountainous rural areas which host a large number of people from ethnic minorities.
