In Qingdao, where the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area is located, a Silk Road-themed immersive scenic area has recently become a new cultural landmark.
Silk Road Romance Park, the first full-area immersive performance park in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province, has attracted large crowds and received more than 600,000 advance bookings before it opened on June 26 this year.
Built to highlight the Maritime Silk Road culture, the theme park is home to various types of live cultural performances, among which a song-and-dance drama depicting the Silk Road legacy has been staged over 200 times.
While such main theater shows, immersive street performances and light and shadow shows are being staged, it is unsurprising that power demand across the park surges correspondingly.
For instance, there are over 1,000 sets of lights in the park with a peak load of 3,000 kVA, let alone stage machinery and holographic projection systems that are sensitive to millisecond-level voltage fluctuations.
Apart from these, the bustling day-and-night consumption scenarios already taking shape there also boost nearby dining, retail and cultural creative stores, further increasing regional electricity demand.
Under such circumstances, Jiaozhou Power Supply Company of State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company provided full life-cycle power services to facilitate the power-intensive cultural tourism project in Qingdao.
After setting up a tailored service team, the company conducted a total of 26 on-site inspections to gauge power load of more than 210 power-using locations across the Silk Road Romance Park.
It also set up a dual power supply for the park, and provided low-voltage communication backups for client-end power devices and access to highly-reliable power supply networks for emergency power generation vehicles to guarantee voltage stability.
For daily maintenance, a service regime comprising regular drone and manual patrols, special events power guarantee services, and power use efficiency diagnosis is in place.
Through such efforts, AI-enabled risk detection and early warning for power lines are available, response time for abnormal events is shortened to 15 minutes, and off-peak period electricity use is guided to secure a highly reliable power supply and help the park reduce power costs.
From preliminary inspections to full-process follow-up, the company's high-quality power services contribute significantly to the ongoing cultural tourism upgrade in Qingdao.
