COLOMBO, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka's University of Vocational Technology (UoVT) on Wednesday inked strategic partnership with China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd. and Sinopec Energy Lanka (Private) Limited, enabling cooperation in areas such as internships and technical mentoring.
The reciprocal partnership, facilitated by the Sino-Sri Lanka Education Association, will provide students at UoVT with internship opportunities at the two Chinese enterprises, where they can hone their technical skills with on-site practices. At the same time, the university will also help train local technicians employed by the enterprises and better prepare them for their positions.
On the same day, the university also signed an agreement with the Lumbini Confucius Classroom to establish a Chinese teaching center on its campus.
