BEIJING, Jan. 12 (Xinhua Silk Road) -- Playol, an all-in-one game distribution platform launched in Chengmai County of Hainan Province in April last year, hailed a milestone overseas user number of over 10 million recently.
With daily active users at around 460,000 and newly-added users per week averaging 803,000, the one-stop game export platform took a concrete step forward in facilitating the outgoing journeys of Chinese game businesses.
Playol was created by Hainan Chengmai Free Trade Port Digital Culture Export Industry Park, a carrier of IT service clusters located in Chengmai County in south China, to help game developers with not only product export but ecosystem building as well.

Currently, it has attracted 63 game developers and promoted distribution of 201 games in 192 countries and regions around the world, which are highly attributable to its close following of global game industry trends.
For instance, Playol encouraged simulation and strategy game (SLG)-based integrated gameplay to create diverse experiences for players, helping their developers seize a foothold in Europe, North America and East Asia such as Japan and the Republic of Korea.
While boosting life-simulation and win-win cooperation games for over a half of its players who prefer low-pressure environment, Playol also introduced AI to explore innovations such as smart non-player characters (NPC) to offer emotional value for users loving solitude.
Playol's burgeoning development well embodies boosts from the preferential policies and measures that Chengmai County promulgated to spur local games, animation, and digital cultural and creative industries.

Apart from favorable tax policies, others such as distribution incentives, R&D rewards for licensed games, overseas traffic subsidies, and cross-border data flow facilitation measures in Chengmai County all help build a highly competitive environment for game companies.
For game developers, their outgoing journeys should seek to reflect the essence of Chinese culture and pursue high-quality growth via characterized, localized and internationalized development, noted Wang Guangjun, head of publicity department of CPC Chengmai County Committee.
