HONG KONG, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong's foreign currency reserve assets reached 427.9 billion U.S. dollars at the end of December, down from 429.4 billion dollars at end-November, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced on Wednesday.
The foreign currency reserve assets at end-December represented over five times the currency in circulation, or about 38 percent of Hong Kong dollar M3, the monetary authority said.
