BEIJING, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- At Hangzhou Huaguang Advanced Welding Materials Co., Ltd. in Yuhang Economic Development Zone in east China's Zhejiang Province, robotic arms move with precision as automated production lines replace labor-intensive processes, cutting production cycles by nearly 30 percent. The upgrade reflects a broader transformation underway across the zone.
In recent years, Yuhang Economic Development Zone has accelerated industrial restructuring to cope with structural constraints, pursuing a development path driven by intelligent manufacturing and technological innovation. With smart manufacturing at its core and new equipment, new materials and new energy as key pillars, the zone is building a modern industrial system.
Innovation-driven enterprises are becoming new growth engines. At Hangzhou Xynova Technology Co., Ltd., a high–Degree of Freedom robotic hand designed for mass production has emerged as a key component for humanoid robots, marking progress in the localization of core technologies. The company is also expanding into joint modules and intelligent actuation systems, strengthening its innovation chain.
The new energy vehicle sector has also gained momentum. Since BYD established a plant in Yuhang Economic Development Zone in 2014, the local industrial chain has expanded rapidly, with supporting enterprises in batteries, electronic controls and charging systems clustering in the zone. Thousands of vehicles produced here are now exported overseas each year.
