BEIJING, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- In recent years, State Grid Fujian Electric Power Company has made efforts to help promote a new development mode which combines agricultural development with photovoltaic power generation in Dongping Township of Zhenghe County, Nanping City, southeast China's Fujian Province.
A photovoltaic greenhouse in Dongping Township, covering an area of more than 2,000 mu (about 133.33 hectares), was put into operation and connected to the grid in December 2016, with an annual power generation of about 90 million kWh, according to the State Grid Fujian.
Since the completion of photovoltaic greenhouse, the State Grid Fujian has conducted regular checks on the photovoltaic equipment to ensure power generation efficiency and eliminate equipment safety hazards.
It is learned that the photovoltaic greenhouse, integrating photovoltaic power generation, agricultural sightseeing and garden landscape, has become an innovative agricultural industrial park with coordinated development of the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries.
In the future, the State Grid Fujian will continue its efforts to advance the construction of photovoltaic agriculture projects, further optimize the grid layout, promote the green and low-carbon energy transformation, and contribute to poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.
