BEIJING, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Fengxin County in east China's Jiangxi Province kicked off the second cool-off season and cultural tourism & consumption campaign on July 5, inviting tourists to visit the county and stay cool in its chilly mountainous locations during hot summer days.
Activities blending local geographical and cultural characteristics with summer tourism elements, including music carnival at the water-park of a resort hotel, tea making and tasting in tea gardens among mountains, coffee drinking by stream, whitewater rafting, barbecue on hills, night market of food and music in townships, rural culinary competition, and farm work experience event, will be hosted within a time frame of three months, just to offer tourists a journey to awe-inspiring countryside beauty, delicate local cuisine, and distinctive folk customs while escaping from the heat.

Five boutique tourism routes will also be launched, guiding tourists' trips to revel in cool mountain breezes.
In recent years, Fengxin County has been making efforts to promote rural tourism by exploring its unique natural resources and traditional culture as well as improving tourism-related services. At present, there are more than 600 rural tourist attractions in the county, with 1,600-odd practitioners working for the sector.
