BEIJING, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Foreign students from Türkiye, Pakistan, Indonesia and other countries were amazed by the exquisite cultural and creative products and intangible cultural heritage treasures from Yifeng County of east China's Jiangxi Province at the 2nd Jiangxi Cultural Industry Exposition and Trade Fair.
During the event which was held from April 30 to May 3 in Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi Province, Yifeng County showcased more than 30 exhibits in 8 categories, including root carving artworks, embroidery works, calligraphy and paintings, and etc., drawing attentions of international students.
At the calligraphy and painting booth, the on-site creation of Zhao Xuanhui, a famous calligrapher and painter from Yifeng, was applauded by the students.
The students also tasted the Jiangxi Zhulan flower tea in the tea tasting area. The tea is different from any other Chinese tea, said a foreign student from Indonesia, adding that the tea has a refreshing aroma that makes people feel as if they are in a sea of flowers.
Besides, Yifeng County also introduced local cultural characteristics and development process to the audience in detail through multimedia displays and on-site explanations.
It is learned that the on-site transaction volume of the Yifeng delegation reached more than 120,000 yuan (about 16,608 U.S. dollars), and over 200,000 yuan (around 27,680 U.S. dollars) of tentative orders were reached during the event.
In recent years, Yifeng County has fully excavated and utilized the advantages of local cultural resources, actively promoted cultural integrity and innovation, and vigorously implemented the cultural "going out" strategy.
