BEIJING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- FedEx Express on Wednesday announced to officially put into use its newly upgraded office for China headquarters in east China's Shanghai, reflecting the company's confidence and determination to strengthen its long-term efforts in the Chinese market, reported Shanghai Securities News.
Covering an area of nearly 2,600 square meters, the new office serves for multiple functions including strategic decision-making, engineering, operation, marketing and financial management.
With the idea of designing a "next-generation office", the new office replaces the commonly-used fixed personal working spaces with innovative shared office areas that allow teamwork and communication under multiple scenarios, creating a working atmosphere that values diversity, equity and inclusiveness.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of FedEx's entry into the Chinese market, said Eddy Chan, FedEx Express senior vice president and FedEx China president, noting that the company holds confident in the prospect of Chinese market and is committed to enhancing its presence in China, and promoting economic and trade exchanges between China and global market through more flexible, efficient and intelligent supply chains.
